You Can Turn Difficult Situations Around
H
Ose was born blind in Puerto Rico. Then it was difficult for even the able-bodied people to make ends meet. Living was tough. Though handicapped, Hose has a passion for music and realize his dream and heart desire, he acquired an old guiter and taught himself how to play it.
His passion for music and learning how to play his newly acquired treasure, made him practice until his fingers bled. His practice paid off as he began to perform in his local community and started getting recognition. He moved on to become one of the greatest musicians of our time and earned millions of dollars from his work.
One of the finest pieces of music ever played is a Christmas carol called, Feliz Navidad. This music recognized the world over was written by Hose Feliciano, a man who many never give a chance to survive; a man who was living in an environment where even the more fortunate individuals find it difficult to succeed; a man who would’ve  taken to begging; rather he became a man who decided to turn his frustration into gold.
It must be noted here, that Hose had a guitar, did not know how to play it, did not have anybody to teach him and so he had to teach himself. For the fact that he wanted to do it, there was not going to be any excuse.
Does it surprise you how determined this person can be, even when the odds is against him? Take for instance Hose who was born blind. I mean he had every reason not to have bothered himself, especially in an environment where it was difficult for even the able-bodied people to make ends meet.
But come to think of it, is there really any reason for us to accept failure? What do you think will be a very good excuse for anyone to embrace failure? I really need to know.
To be honest with you, there are instances when we would wish to throw in the towel. There are times when things would not just work out. You have done all that you should do, yet it refuses to click. And then you begin to think it was all a mistake to be where you are. I want you to understand that it’s normal. Every one of us goes through such periods in our life. But the good thing is that this difficult period will soon pass away. It will one day become history.
Dear reader, those times are when your real character will exposed. Remember, in Gambia they have a saying that a donkey cannot get rid of its large ears merely by shaking its head vigorously. At times like that, slow down, try to find out where the problem is coming from. It could be that all you need to do is a little adjustment here and there.
The key is your hands! Use it.
